The 3 Ways You're Sabotaging Your Own Success

I hate to break it to you…

But there’s a good chance that you’re sabotaging your own fat loss – and you probably don’t even know it!

No, it’s not because you missed yesterday at the gym…

Or that you didn’t eat ALL the veggies on your plate…

The simple fact is: If you’re committing these THREE fat loss traps, then there’s a good chances you’re bound and determined to stay fat and unhappy.

The THREE Fat Loss Traps

One of the biggest ways you can sabotage your fat loss is by eating too much food.

Not that ANYONE looks to eat too much…

Or stuff their face until they puke…

It just happens!  And if you’re one who tends to overeat, then there’s a good chance your sabotaging your fat loss – and your overall diet plan.

Here are three ways in which overeating happens – and you may not even know it:

1. During Your Favorite TV Show

Do you frequently find yourself on the couch, watching your favorite show, and next thing you know, the bag of chips or cookies is now completely GONE?

This type of mindless eating happens frequently and can be a serious roadblock to a skinnier you.

A recent study showed that with every two hours of TV you watch, your risk for gaining weight may increase by as much as 23 percent.

So mindless eating in front of the TV may be one of the easiest - and most detrimental ways – to railroad your fat loss results.

2. Your Fast Food Drive-By

Do you have a favorite go-to fast food place that you just can’t seem to cut out of your life?

External cues – like the kind you see on a fast food logo or your favorite chain restaurant – may be very strong cues that could easily derail your fat loss.

It can be such a strong cue that people – even the people who had breakfast, lunch, or dinner at home – find themselves mindlessly driving through the drive thru and picking up a snack or two.

3. Those Late-Night Commercials

In 2011, a study was published that showed emotional eaters were more likely to think about food after seeing an ad on the TV for something indulgent.

So, those late-night cravings you have during your favorite show – or sporting event – may be directly related to how your mind reacts to images of food.

If you are considered an emotional eater, fight back by distracting yourself  by doing jumping jacks, crunches, or some other form of exercise during commercial breaks.

Take Home Message

I hate to break it to you, but you could be sabotaging your own fat loss results.

By mindless eating, stopping off for high calorie snacks, and watching TV ads that trigger an emotional eating response, could all railroad your fat loss results.

But, if you remain strong, you too could keep your fat loss on track and continue on the road to a flatter midsection and a leaner, toner body.
